Who processes your data
The data controller is ALBA SRL, registered office Via Toscana 124, 40141 Bologna (VAT IT04018831208), which runs the Amendola16 guest house at Via Giovanni Amendola 16, 40121 Bologna. If you have any questions about your data, email amendola16bologna@gmail.com or call +39 351 595 4393.
What data we collect
- Availability requests. If you use the form on the website: your name, email address, the text of your request (for example dates and number of guests) and whether you are interested in the garage.
- Direct contact. If you email us, message us on WhatsApp or call us: the details you choose to share.
- Technical browsing data. The server hosting the website automatically records some technical data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type), needed for the site to work and stay secure.
The website uses no cookies and no statistics or advertising tools, and it loads no content from external services while you browse: even the fonts are hosted on our server. That’s why we don’t ask for any cookie consent.
While you write an enquiry, the form keeps a copy only in your own browser, so you don’t lose it if you leave the page. The copy never reaches us: it is deleted when you send the enquiry, or after 14 days.
Why we process it
- To reply to your request and, if you wish, arrange your booking. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep the website working and secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- If you stay with us, to meet the legal obligations linked to your stay (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Your name, email and request are needed to reply to you: without them we can’t handle your request. We do not use your data for newsletters or advertising, and we do not sell it or make it publicly available.
Who receives it
Your data is processed by us and, on our behalf, only by the service providers needed to operate the website and handle your enquiries:
- Web3Forms (Web3Creative, India): receives the request sent through the form and forwards it to our email. Its servers are in the United States; it states that it does not store the content of requests and periodically deletes its technical logs.
- Google (Gmail): the mailbox where we receive and handle requests.
- Our hosting provider, for technical browsing data.
- WhatsApp (Meta): only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp; in that case WhatsApp’s own terms also apply.
Transfers outside the European Union
Web3Forms and Google may process data in the United States. For Web3Forms, the transfer is necessary to act on the request you send us (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR); Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Requests that don’t become a booking: up to 12 months, then we delete them.
- Data linked to a stay: for as long as the law requires, for example for tax purposes.
- Technical browsing data: for as long as our hosting provider keeps it, usually a few months.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, or to receive it in a portable format (Articles 15–22 GDPR): just email amendola16bologna@gmail.com. If you believe the processing breaches data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll publish the new version here with the date it was updated.
